How and why cells and tissues opt to a specific morphology is a fundamental but complex question in biology.
Investigating the mechanistic link between function and morphology in various tissues/cells is the main mission of our lab. We intend to elucidate novel processes through the appreciation of cell and tissue biology utilizing various microscopic techniques ranging from 2D images in immunofluorescence, 3D images, time-lapse imaging and electron microscopic techniques.
We mainly focus on the research of hematopoietic stem cells within the bone marrow, and how these stem cells develop, are maintained and influenced by their microenvironment. Join Us!Graduate students
